Laser Engraved

Precision laser engraving adds depth to our fine wood boxes. First developed in the 1980s, laser engraving on wood employs a coherent beam of light to vaporize the wood and then turns it a dark brown color.

Inlay is created by cutting pieces of wood and gluing them together in patterns. After this patterned block has been constructed, it is cut again and reglued. This may be done two or three times depending on the desired results. It is then sliced into thin strips.
